These terms cover Skillmoor on Android (Google Play, package com.mezeman.skillmoor), made by Mezeman. By installing or playing the game you agree to them. They sit alongside Google Play's terms of service, which cover the store, payments and refunds. What the game collects is in the privacy policy.
The game
The game is free to play. We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to install it and play it for your own, non-commercial use. The game, its art, text and code remain ours or our licensors'. We may update the game, change or rebalance its content, prices and progression, or stop offering it.
Purchases
- What you buy. The Shop sells optional one-time purchases that change the game for your account, such as double xp, double gold or a longer offline window. A purchase is a licence to that feature inside the game. It has no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred to another account or game.
- Payment and refunds. Google Play takes the payment and handles refunds under its own policies; ask for a refund through your Google Play order history. A refunded purchase is withdrawn from the game. If you are in the EU or UK, the feature is delivered as soon as the purchase completes, and you agree to that at checkout, so the right to withdraw from the purchase ends once it is delivered. Nothing here limits the rights consumer law gives you where you live.
- Keeping them. Purchases belong to the Google account that made them and come back with Restore purchases after a reinstall or on a new phone. Resetting your progress keeps them.
Your progress
Gold, items, xp and levels are part of the game, not property, and have no value outside it. Your save lives on your device, with an optional backup in Google Play Games that you make yourself. Keep a backup if your progress matters to you: we cannot recover a save that is lost with a phone, cleared, or uninstalled without one. Updates may rebalance the game, which can change what your progress is worth in it.
Fair play
Do not modify, decompile or reverse engineer the game, tamper with its saves or purchases, get paid features without paying, or interfere with its ads or services, except where the law allows it regardless of these terms. In our community spaces, such as Discord, treat other players with respect. We may remove access to purchases obtained by fraud.
Ads
Where the game offers a rewarded ad, watching it is always your choice. Ads come from Google AdMob and its advertisers; we do not endorse what they advertise.
No warranty
The game is provided as it is and as available. We work to keep it running and your saves safe, but we do not promise it will be free of bugs, always available, or that progress can never be lost. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. None of this limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for intent or gross negligence.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands. If you live in the EU or UK as a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory law where you live, and can bring a claim in your own courts.
Changes
We may change these terms as the game changes; the date at the top moves when we do. If you keep playing after a change, the new terms apply. A change never takes away a purchase you already made.
